Love Blog – express love to your children with simple actions and words

Festival of Lights

December 11th, 2009

Beginning at sundown tomorrow,I’m encouraging families to give the gift of unconditional love each night of Hanukkah and to remember how important the words “I love you” can be!

Hanukkah is a beautiful tradition that emphasizes the importance of family, the significance of being a light to your children, and the reason for the season: love. Hanukkah is celebrated by a series of rituals performed every day, including the singing of familiar prayers, eating potato latkes, giving gifts to the children each night throughout the 8-day holiday and lighting of a special 9-branched candelabrum called the Menorah.

Stay tuned to my blog for ideas on ways parents can express their love and encouragement during Hanukkah. And don’t forget to become a friend and a fan on Facebook (Sheila Aron) and Twitter (SheilaAron)!
